Broadband Changes
04.10.2012
Telecom Cook Islands is pleased to announce a further price cut and increase in data allowances for Broadband customers, effective 1 November 2012. These latest changes are the fourth in 18 months and take us another step in our journey towards O3b’s fast internet service which is now less than 10 months away. When O3b service commences in July 2013 we will be able to provide much faster and cheaper broadband.
From 1 November, customers on the Standard, Value, Super and Mega plans will enjoy an increase in the monthly data allowance plus a price reduction, while customers on the Plus plan receive an increase in data allowance. Excess usage rates will reduce for all plans except Extra and Ultra, which are being phased out and will permanently close on 31 December 2012 to simplify our plans.
From 1 November 2012 the following plans will be available to all customers, new or existing, on Rarotonga or in the Outer Islands.

We’re not the only ones who think these changes are moving in the right direction. Here is what others are saying:
“Indeed a good deal. Can definitely appreciate it especially with working and studying from home. An obvious improvement for the CI’s rating in the region too – our Pacific neighbours will be jealous.”
Director of ICT, Office of the Prime Minister Pua Hunter
“From my perspective Telecom is offering an extremely good deal, with more value for the dollar for both for Raro and outer island users. Well done.”
President of CIIAG Maureen Hilyard
