GSM expansion
Our mobile phone network is being expanded to three more Outer Islands over the next 9 months. Pukapuka should be turned on by the end of October (subject to availability of flights), Atiu by Christmas and Mitiaro by Easter 2012. In addition to Rarotonga, mobile phone service is available on Aitutaki, Manihiki, Mangaia and now Mauke, which went live on 16 August.
Better Broadband equipment in Aitutaki
We have replaced our broadband equipment with new systems ensuring greater reliability and additional capacity on the island for our growing number of customers. We now have plenty of broadband capacity in Aitutaki for the future.
New cable for Vaipae, Aitutaki
In July we laid a new cable in the village of Vaipae, Aitutaki which will provide more reliable service to customers in the Vaipae and Vaipeka villages.
